Cycle safety is one of the neglected safety methods in transportation. Time and again cyclists have been the victim of serious road accident due to poor use or lack of safety equipment's. The use of safety equipment is neglected in cycling because still most of the laws relating to transportation do not recognize cycle as a proper means of transportation around the world. Even Motor Vehicle and Transportation Management Act 2049 of Nepal has failed to recognize cycle as a means of transportation in Nepal as a result of which the cycle accidents are majorly neglected by governing bodies. Since our law has failed to address cycle as a means of transportation the safety related to cycle is a new thing for Nepalese society and cycle users.
